Frank Frazetta Feb 9th 1928-May 10th 2010
Legendary artist Frank Frazetta died yesterday of a stroke at the age of 82. He passed away at a hospital near his home in Florida. Frank started working in comics in 1945, and worked for EC, National (DC) and numerous other companies, on strips ranging from The Shining Knight to Playboy's Little Annie Fanny, and was also well known for his fantasy art. Widely regarded as one of the most significant talents in the US Comics industry, he will be sadly missed.

Another Frazetta image. The Shining Knight was a Golden Age strip done for National (DC) about an Arthurian knight fighting evil in the present day.

I'm going to be a little disrepectful here - so you have been warned: If, as I am led to believe, Frank's wife posed for him for a lot of these drawings...where did he find the time to draw her???

A very good question. Clearly, Frank dwelt on a higher artistic plane than some other individuals around here...GBF wrote:I'm going to be a little disrepectful here - so you have been warned: If, as I am led to believe, Frank's wife posed for him for a lot of these drawings...where did he find the time to draw her???
