Impressed. I'm really enjoying Matt Smith as the Doctor, and the Smilers were veeery creepy. Mind you-space whales? I wonder what Pat Mills thought of this one...

Explains the change in the title of the lost story release.
I did enjoy this one. The Doctor is once again the doctor, the story was strange and didnt really make sense but was very well executed and felt like a darker version of the sun makers.

They re-used the plot of the Torchwood episode with the giant meat creature! At least this time they didn't have repeated long pans over the body of the creature to fill the time up. Oh and the Queen was cool.

The Queen was wonderful. And then, it turns out she was responsible for this horror all along! Brilliant twist...

In terms of their views on foreigners and their general empathy, I think Phil the Greek and the average Dalek have a fair bit in common...

Very poor, I thought. Giving it the Dalek one and the 2 parter. If I'm still not impressed, time to call it a day, methinks.

This really is turning into the Marmite season, it seems. Though it apparently got an AI of 86, and was the most watched programme of the day...

That lets me out, then. I wasn't a child at heart even when I was a child.

Comic books are a serious business! Sequential art is a much maligned and misunderstood medium which nonetheless combines all the best features of books and movies and can be used to tell any kind of story imaginable! Comics ain't just for kids...

Saw this again last night. Better than I initially thought, though still fairly average at best. Smithy and Kazza make it watchable, though - would have been unbearable ith Tennant (esp Tennant and Tate/Piper. Ewww!)

I think the latest run tend to be better on second viewing. You tend to miss things first time round as a result of the pacing (I still think 45 minutes is too short for a Doctor Who story: two parters should be the norm).
