Lots of strong rumors coming out of Time quest (some coming from Toms mouth apparently) that he is returning to do more BBC audios AND Big Finish. The rumors are he'll team up with the Brigg for the BBC audios whilst teaming up with Lella for the BF productions. Fantastic if true Very Happy

Teaming up with Lalla?

Not very likely, I wouldn't have thought.

I meant Lela or however you spell it. Either way Tom has said he enjoyed doing audio and I think the end of the EDA series may grant a Tom Baker series at BF, which would probably be part of his agreement to do it.

Oh, Leela?! LOL That's a bit more believable, since they have at least done commentaries together!

Hah! So, having avoided demeaning himself by working with mere enthusiastic amateurs (as opposed to the sacred Beeb) for years, the first lot of audio work for them has made him realise there's easy money to be had! Predictable. Unfortunately, I was less than bowled over by his first audio efforts for the BBC (he sounded as though he was phoning it in, possibly on a day when the other actors weren't even there) so I can't be very enthusiastic about this. But maybe I'm doing Tom a disservice...

You know I said exactly word for word the same thing when I reviewed Hornets nest to a friend and he agreed entirely with me after listening to it. However I think BF could do a better job, lets be frank the BBC havent exactly done a good audio Doctor Who since Paradise of Death.

The BBC didn't do a great job with The Paradise of Death! Now Slipback; that was a great story!

Well, for one thing it directly contradicts established continuity by fitting into a gap between stories which does not, in fact, exist (it supposedly comes between The Time Warrior and Invasion of the Dinosaurs, but those stories directly follow on from each other).

Tom can also currently be heard at 6.30PM each day on BBC Radio 7 reading 'Doctor Who & the Giant Robot'...
