"Dandy Xtreme"? A "lifestyle magazine for the under-tens"? Oh dear...

Excellent final issue.

Unlike most of its contemporaries The Dandy hasn't vanished from the shelves with a "great news inside chums" but instead goes out with a terrific celebration of 75 years.

Favourite strips were Black Bob and The Umbrella Men.

Winker Watson is a real blast from the past with talk of halfpennies and panniers.

It was mentioned on another website that rather than bemoan the loss of The Dandy we should celebrate the fact that it outlasted every other British comic save for the Beano.

Well...I dunno about that. If by "outlasted" you mean "is still here", so are Commando and 2000AD. If by "outlasted" you mean "lasted longer than", The Beano is still younger than The Dandy, so it's still inaccurate...
