Alan Moore Kickstarter

I just made a pledge for the new Alan Moore project. It is the end of the 5 part film series he's doing, and I'm really hoping it gets done. It looks as if it's struggling right now, but one can hope.
Anyone else interested in what he's doing right now?

I remember hearing about this back in the DCMB days, I think. I didn't know it was a series. I wonder why they're resorting to Kickstarter? Can't Alan Moore just cash one of those movie checks or something?

I know that was a joke, but isn't it that Moore never gets those checks anyway?

Yeah, I think he declines them. Much stronger man than I would be, I think.

He gave his proceeds for V for Vendetta and Watchmen to the artists involved.

Not sure what he did with the money for From Hell or League, though.

Yeah, from what I read he never saw any of the money. He had the checks sent directly to the others involved. THAT is the kind of principled stand I can respect.

I think Alan is one of the most principled people around. And he is always, always totally consistent-once he's made his position on something clear, it does not change.
