Felix Dennis RIP
The editor of the underground magazine Oz has died aged 67, and his obituary is well worth a read:

A fascinating man. I can't decide whether he was something to aspire to being or something to be wary of becoming, but he certainly knew how to make every minute of his life memorable.

Cool life to read about, but you wouldn't want to live it...

That is EXACTLY what I want people to say about me.

Hmmmm.... Do you have the funds to spend £100 million on your own forest, ridiculous amounts of cocaine and a mansion full of women who never put their clothes on?
And if you do, can you lend us a tenner?

No, I did say WANT, not that it was at all realistic. I don't need to live that particular life, just that when I'm gone, I want people wondering why I did what I did. At least for a while. Otherwise, you just die and people forget you. Boring.

I feel the same way. That's why I'm a serial killer.Mbast1 wrote:I don't need to live that particular life, just that when I'm gone, I want people wondering why I did what I did. At least for a while. Otherwise, you just die and people forget you. Boring.

Everyone gets forgotten eventually. You'll be dead, so you won't mindMbast1 wrote:No, I did say WANT, not that it was at all realistic. I'm going to see Tony in August. If I never post again, you'll know why.

I know. That's why when people ask (anyone over 40 gets this, I'm sure) about how I want my funeral, I reply with some variation of "I don't care. I'll be dead".
And, you know, if you DO disappear after visiting someone after they tell you they're a serial killer, I sorta see that as your own fault.

You're quite right. I'll have no-one to blame but myself
