Batman is Alive and Well and Living in Bradford!
A wanted man has apparently been handed in to Police in Bradford by Batman (or at least, someone dressed as Batman). The caped crusader handed over his prisoner, then vanished into the night, presumably in search of more ne'er-do-wells to apprehend...

That was in the news even here. I am going to bet money that this guy turns out to have issues.
Of course, it's a damned sight better than the guy who shot at a shoplifter at Walmart...

You don't believe this could simply be an upstanding citizen wishing to use his great powers for good? Such cynicism!

Yeah, I am pretty cynical. But, I blame television. Or video games. Or something like that.

You were right to be. Turns out he was a mate of the offender driving him in of his own free will. I'm still not entirely clear on why he was dressed as the caped crusader, though...

It now appears he was coming from some sort of charity event (allegedly). He's also complaining that he didn't realise until he saw the photo that the costume made him look fat "because I was wearing a track suit under it". Yeah, right. You and Adam West....

Well, it did get bigger media play than it should have, I think. I'm just glad it wasn't another one of those people who think acting out superhero comics is acceptable.

I'm guessing you wouldn't get along with my mate the Amazing Aardvark Man...Mbast1 wrote:tony ingram wrote:It now appears he was coming from some sort of charity event (allegedly). My sister use to live in Bradford . . . not that Bradford, but one in Pennsylvania.tony ingram wrote:A wanted man has apparently been handed in to Police in Bradford by Batman (or at least, someone dressed as Batman). Apparently, there are several Bradford's in the UK: the city in West Yorkshire, a district in Manchester, a village in Northumberland, another in Devon, a hamlet in Cornwall, Bradford on Tone in Somerset and Bradford on Avon in Wiltshire. There's a Bradford in Canada, one in New Zealand and at least twenty in the USA.

I even went to Bradford School in New Jersey as a kid.
(I think it was originally named for William Bradford.)

Mine, too. It's lacking the barbed wire and machine gun nests, for one thing.Lucy McGough wrote:Looks a lot posher than my alma mater
