Re: Listen....
That was actually very creepy in places, and quite uplifting at the end. And we saw the War Doctor again. Pleased with that.

Re: Listen....
I don't think it's aired yet over here in the U.S.
(It's not even 7:30 p.m. here, and I thought BBC America showed new ones at 9:00 p.m.?)

I didn't care for it. I found it boring, not creepy.
I became so disinterested in it that after it ended I had to go online to read a summary of the episode to figure out what was going on.

Re: Listen....
This episode seems to have been one of the most divisive ever, looking at comments elsewhere on the net. Some thought it was the best in years, some absolutely hated it, but people are certainly talking about it.

I didn't think it was bad, but barely good. Interesting in that we saw things about the Doctor we didn't know, but in a "so what" sort of way. And Clara still isn't interesting to me.

Re: Listen....
Ok, so another thought/question
- Spoiler:
- Was this meant to explain The Doctor's aversion to soldiers being because he was a coward, and couldn't be one himself? I'd hate that to be what they meant,

Good, glad I misunderstood. I don't think I heard the woman (his mother?) say anything, only the man, and I thought he clearly said that was the goal.

Re: Listen....
The adults weren't his parents. They told him he was "welcome to come in with the other boys", which to me suggests some sort of orphanage or boarding school. I'm guessing the latter.Mbast1 wrote:tony ingram wrote:No, I don't think that was meant to be implied.

Sometimes when I'm watching tv (far too often) I am doing something else, too. This is a good example of why I don't usually do that for tv I want to really understand. I saw this while doing other things, and I must have missed a few things.
But, I have seen a number of people online refer to those people as his parents, so I can't be the only one who did that.

Re: Listen....
Probably not. When Day of the Doctor aired, a few people seemed convinced that Osgood was Kate Stewart's daughter because her pronunciation of 'ma'am' sounded like 'mum'...Mbast1 wrote:tony ingram wrote:The adults weren't his parents.
