Javier Pulido flew over here to watch it. He knows what happened. And you don't.karatattoo wrote:tony ingram wrote:Not telling.karatattoo wrote:The episode doesn't air here for another three hours and I don't wanna wait, SO WHAT HAPPENED???

Re: Death in Heaven
There was a power outage in my area just as
Power came back on just before the closing credits.
Although I already know what happens, it's infuriating to suddenly not be able to watch it. BBC America is repeating the episode, so I'll DVR it and watch the complete episode tomorrow.
- Spoiler:
- the Doctor and Clara found Kate Stewart in the cemetery.

Re: Death in Heaven
That last cemetary scene has provoked some very mixed reactions. Some think it was a nice tribute, others a crass exploitation of the memory of a dead man. I'm firmly in the "tribute" camp, myself.

Definitely a tribute.

Re: Death in Heaven
A very good episode, but I'm afraid I'm one of the few who didn't like the tribute to the Brigadier, mainly because he became a Cyberman, and I thought that was unnecessary. The Doctor could have simply saluted the portrait of him, or better yet, saluted Kate.
For me, Osgood was a very annoying character, so her death didn't bother me at all. The same goes for Danny Pink (I really hope he doesn't get revived in the Christmas Special).
The absolute best thing about the episode was Missy. Fans have been talking about her as a dark Mary Poppins, so when she transmats to the cemetery then glides down with her umbrella up it became an instant classic scene.
I'm looking forward to Missy's return, hopefully soon.
Did anyone else notice the nod to the cliffhanger to The Moonbase episode two, when the Danny Cyberman tosses off the sheet and gets off the table?
Also, the funeral home was called Chaplet. Was that a nod to former companion Dodo?

Re: Death in Heaven
I very much doubt if the use of "Chaplet" was a coincidence.

Maybe it's just me, but I found this whole season kinda boring. I enjoyed seeing the first episode in the theater, so maybe that's how I should watch them all...
I can't really explain it. Peter Capaldi is good, and the stories weren't bad, I just thought they were all flat. Even the finale.
I know I'll keep watching, but I'm not looking forward to each new episode as I was. I don't know.

Re: Death in Heaven
Final viewing figures for Death in Heaven: 7.60 million viewers, pretty consistent with the rest of the season. It seems Capaldi has been accepted by the majority!
