BBC Concerned by Failing Doctor Who Spin-off

Post by tony ingram on Thu May 14, 2015 6:28 pm

Apparently, serious concerns have been raised at a high level meeting at the BBC about Steven Moffat's most recent project, the horrendously expensive Doctor Who spin-off The Silence: Adventures in Time & Space. Now midway through its third season on BBC1, the show's viewing figures are abysmal because everyone keeps forgetting its on, and those who do catch it then immediately forget that they've seen it. BBC Worldwide are also concerned about the DVD sales: to date, not one copy has sold, and thousands of boxsets are gathering dust in a warehouse in Hounslow because distributors keep forgetting to send them out. Could this misstep be the end for Moffat's career?
