Face the Raven

Post by tony ingram on Sat Nov 21, 2015 9:02 pm

That...I did not expect.
I mean, I expected it pretty much from the moment the idiot decided she could cheat a death sentence because "hey, it's what we do!"
But not going into it.

Spoiler:
R.I.P, Clara

I thought that that was pretty much perfect.

Spoiler:
Clara did NOT think that she could cheat the death sentence.

Ugh. Knew that was coming, still didn't like it.

The fact that it happened, or the way that it happened?

That it happened at all.

I thought it was actually the only logical way for her to leave (Clara would never have gone willingly), and it made sense in relation to her character arc. She's been heading for this ever since Danny Pink died.

Spoiler:
Do you think she was suicidal? Or at least no longer cared? So she's been taking more risks? That would make sense.

It's what I think too.

Hurrah, we're all in agreement! Let's have a nice cup of tea and some scones Smile

Spoiler:
Serves Ashildr right. She thought it would be 'okay' to basically kill Rigsy, because he was just a random 'unimportant' person. She ended up killing someone she liked, respected and cared about.

Edit: wait a minute... this ties in with what The Doctor said in The Zygon Inversion, about how when you start a war you never know who will end up dying. I'm impressed.

Now that he explained it as he did, I think he's right.

It's sad. But perhaps that's what it's like when you love somebody. (Like, obvs I dunno.)

I understand, to some extent. Love makes you very stupid. Very.

I'd like Rose Leslie to play the next companion. Who would you like?

If she hadn't already been in the show in a fairly memorable role, I'd have said Sarah Smart.

You know, I don't know. I know a lot of British actresses, but none I'd want to cast. If I know them, it's likely from a role I already associate them with. Although River could be perfect. Someone a bit older, I think.

Older, yes. River Song, no.
