Welcome John! What kind of pup, as a matter of interest? We have a two year old spaniel.

josiedad wrote:Hi Tony and Crikey! readers, just want to introduce myself and say "Hello!" to everyone. My name is John Derek Pitt ( Josie is our new, lovely pup! ) and I have been a comics nut since the fifties, of both UK and US comics.
I shall attempt to document my love affair with comics from the very start to the present day on future posts on this forum. Some of you may have seen me knocking around the comics blogs or on FB geek groups, and I hope to plug some of them on here too! :-)

Welcome, John! Smile

As you can see, Tony likes you so much he's welcomed you twice Very Happy

Hi everyone - I am the author of the novel Death and Mr Pickwick which tells the story behind the creation of Charles Dickens's first novel The Pickwick Papers. In my view, The Pickwick Papers has the greatest backstory of any work of fiction - it cried out to be turned into a novel itself...so that's what I did! As I am sure many of you are aware, The Pickwick Papers plays a hugely significant role in the history of illustrated fiction, and can be seen as a forerunner to comic books. Indeed, comics are quite often discussed on the very active Death and Mr Pickwick facebook page. So, I thought I would join Crikey!
