I'd have to go for The Broonites in Private Eye! A wonderful little strip. I'll try and dig one out later...

Probably the most political comic I've ever seen was Crisis, a late eighties anthology title from the 2000 AD stable which basically existed just to give writers like Pat Mills and Garth Ennis a place to air their views on the terrible state of the world via stories like 'Third World War' (set in Africa, in a near future controlled by multinational corporations who've effectivelyintroduced legalised slavery) and 'Troubled Souls' (set in Northern Ireland). God, that was a bundle of laughs.

I've heard about those for years, and I'd love to find some. But, the American shops I know of have none, never did. I've tried Ebay, but no luck.
Ah, well.
