Ranger (later "Dark Ranger") - hero from Australia
First appearance: Detective Comics #215
(cover-dated January 1955 with an on-sale date of November 28, 1954)
Ranger (and, honestly, most of the other "Batmen of All Nations") didn't play too big a part in that story, mostly riding around and sometimes making a comment or three.
But after that issue, while most of the other international heroes would return in World's Finest Comics #89 (July-August 1957), for some reason The Ranger was not included.
Nor was he included when Roy Thomas made use of the"Batmen of All Nations" in Infinity Inc. #34 (January 1987), though Roy did add in Wingman.
The Ranger was used by Grant Morrison in Batman #667-669 in 2007, with Grant renaming the character "Dark Ranger"
and in flashbacks to Mayhew and the "Club of Heroes", Ranger was now included
but is it just me or does his hat and outfit make him look more like an American cowboy rather than someone from Australia?

In Batman: The Brave and the Bold #13, cover-dated March 2010
(in case it's not obvious, this is the comic book based on the animated TV series), there was a story where Batman broke his leg and quite a few other heroes dressed up (sort of) like Batman to protect Gotham City while the real Batman was incapacitated. Among those who did were:
Mind you, these are the "Batmen of All Nations" (the revised version, since Man-of-Bats seems to be included), but what I want to know is whether this guy
with what looks like boomerangs was suppose to represent The (Dark) Ranger?

I suppose that too, and congratulations on your hawk eye!

Well, years later, there's another cameo guest appearance of the "Batmen of All Nations" in a Sholly Fisch-written story, this time inThe Batman & Scooby-Doo! Mysteries #12.MajorHoy wrote:In Batman: The Brave and the Bold #13, cover-dated March 2010 . . .

Now, I'm assuming that's Ranger on the far-right there, with Wingman on the far left.
So the guy I thought might be Ranger holding a boomerang in Batman: The Brave and the Bold #13 could actually have been Wingman (based on the chest symbol), but I'm not sure about one or two others in The Batman & Scooby-Doo! Mysteries #12.
(One looks more like Impala from the Global Guardians?)

The Batmen of All Nations have recently resurfaced in one of the mainstream Bat books.

Batman itself, the main book. Detective Comics has been more of an ensemble piece about the rest of the Bat family, lately, while I Am Batman is focused on Jace Fox, the new Batman of New York.Barry_Allen wrote:Which one is, Tony?

Well, a few of them did show up in Williamson's Batman.tony ingram wrote:The Batmen of All Nations have recently resurfaced in one of the mainstream Bat books.
Though when did Bat-Man of China become a member?
Last issue of Morrison's Batman Incorporated was in 2013.
Wang Baixi, the "Bat-Man of China", was introduced in New Super-Man #1 in 2016 during DC's Rebirth branding of books.
