Golden Age Destroyer (Keen Marlow)
First appearance: Mystic Comics #6 (October 1941)
Where he headlined two different stories in the same issue
It looks like his last Golden Age appearance was possibly in 1946.
In the years after that, Marvel introduced a new "Destroyer" in the pages of Journey Into Mystery #118 (July 1965)
that was really an animated suit of Asgardian armor.
In Iron Man #55 (February 1973), Jim Starlin introduced the character Drax the Destroyer
And in 1977, Roy Thomas brought back the Golden Age Destroyer
but with a twist: this Destroyer was really Brian Falsworth, the son of Lord James Montgomery Falsworth (who had been the hero Union Jack during WWI).
Eventually, Brian Falsworth would take on the identity of Union Jack while his friend Roger Aubrey would replace Brian as the new Destroyer.
And from the Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe: Golden Age (2004),

That Handbook entry is a retcon of a retcon. In The Invaders, it's claimed that Keen Marlow never existed.

Quite a few of the things Roy Thomas did (both at Marvel and at DC) that altered what had previously occurred in stories seemed to eventually get altered once again years later, either going back to just the way things had been in the first place or to an amalgamation that combined Roy's changes with the original versions.tony ingram wrote:That Handbook entry is a retcon of a retcon. Yes, that has always seemed a little off, to me. Roy doesn't seem to get a lot of respect, these days.MajorHoy wrote:Quite a few of the things Roy Thomas did (both at Marvel and at DC) that altered what had previously occurred in stories seemed to eventually get altered once again years later, either going back to just the way things had been in the first place or to an amalgamation that combined Roy's changes with the original versions.tony ingram wrote:That Handbook entry is a retcon of a retcon. Re: Golden Age Destroyer (Keen Marlow)
I think he was about as inactive as it's possible to get, since he'd been turned to stone at the time.Barry_Allen wrote:Yes, but was he "Inactive" in 1984?

Then shouldn't he have been "inanimate" as opposed to "inactive"?tony ingram wrote:I think he was about as inactive as it's possible to get, since he'd been turned to stone at the time.Barry_Allen wrote:Yes, but was he "Inactive" in 1984?

Marvel should correct their Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe!MajorHoy wrote:Then shouldn't he have been "inanimate" as opposed to "inactive"?tony ingram wrote:I think he was about as inactive as it's possible to get, since he'd been turned to stone at the time.Barry_Allen wrote:Yes, but was he "Inactive" in 1984?
