Golden Age Warlock the Wizard
First appearance: Nickel Comics #1 (May 17, 1940)
It looks like Warlock the Wizard's feature ran in the first seven issues of Nickel Comics (which were priced at 5¢ each for 36 pages as opposed to the standard of 10¢ per a 68-page issue for regular-sized comic books) but was not in the 8th (and final) issue of the tittle.
He did make a brief (cameo) appearance in a DC comic book many (many!) years later:
Scooby-Doo! Team-Up #19 (December 2016).
<Digital version issue #37>
