First appearance: Detective Comics #1 (March 1937)

NOTE: The following was pieced together from different online resources.
It's difficult finding a good copy of this story online, even with the Millennium Edition reprint in 2000.

The inclusion of the stereotypical "mysterious orientals" that were, unfortunately, quite common in literature at that time, is something that has been pointed out in places like New Super-Man #16 (December 2017)

That issue of New Super-Man also featured a reimagining of the Bruce Nelson feature that was in that same issue of Detective Comics #1.

It looks like Slam's last Golden Age appearance was in Detective Comics #151 (September 1949)

The Slam Bradley feature itself also appeared in Detective Comics #152 (October 1949), however that story featured Slam's buddy/partner Shorty (and his visiting "kid brother Tiny"):

Slam would eventually start to appear again in the 1980s.
