Richard Corben died!
I saw this. I only know his work tangentially, read about it a lot, read it a little. Hard to find.

Depends on where you looked. He did a lot of work outside of DC and Marvel, working more in "underground comics" early in his career. More recently, he did some Hellboy stuff at Dark Horse Comics.Mbast1 wrote:I saw this. I only know his work tangentially, read about it a lot, read it a little. Hard to find.

I've only just heard about this. A shame, he was a talented man. I think I first discovered his work in Heavy Metal, back in the eighties.

Right, same here. But when I read about them, in that magazine, it was hard to find and usually in the "adults only" section. Oh, well. So much more to read now!
I need to create a list of classic comics work I want to find, based on what I "read about" but have yet to read.

That sounds like a potentially very long list.Mbast1 wrote:tony ingram wrote:I think I first discovered his work in Heavy Metal, back in the eighties.

Re: Richard Corben died!
In Italy we were quite lucky to be able to read a lot of great Rich Corben stories since the Seventies they were featured in 82 issues of Eternaut Sci-Fi magazine on a total of 150 published! Then he was present in 42 issues of Alter Alter (an alternative comics mag) magazine and even two issues of Linus, the (still) long running magazine with the Peanuts and all sorts of American (Mutts, Doonesbury, Calvin and Hobbes) and European (Moomin) strips!
