Moon Knight tv series on Disney+ coming next 30 March: 1st trailer released
This made headlines even in principal tv news prime time in Italy, yesterday, so here's the trailer also on Crikey! forum, just released!
Clearly based on the Marvel comics character, Moon Knight debuted in Werewolf by Night #32 in 1975 by writer Doug Moench and artist Don Perlin. Moon Knight proved popular enough that he appeared as a guest star in various Marvel comics before getting his Moon Knight received his first ongoing series in 1980 by writer Moench and soon to be legendary artist Bill Sienkiewicz as its main creative team.
Moon Knight is the story of Marc Spector, a mercenary betrayed and left for dead in an Egyptian tomb but is miraculously saved by the Egyptian moon god Khonshu and becomes the Eyptian deity’s avatar on Earth. Often compared to the Distinguished Competition’s Batman, what distinguishes Moon Knight from the Dark Knight is that Spector suffers from dissociative identity disorder and utilizes various multiple personalities on his mission including billionaire businessman Steven Grant, taxicab driver Jake Lockley, and suited consultant Mr. Knight.
The Moon Knight trailer teases the multiple personalities such as Steven Grant, but the tv series reinterprets him as a “useless” English museum worker.
We also get our first look at Ethan Hawke who according to the close captioning is playing Arthur Harrow, a minor character who debuted in Moon Knight Vol. 2 #2; in a departure from the comics, the series depicts Harrow as a “David Koresh” type as teased by Hawke a few months ago...
The highlight of trailer was seeing the Moon Knight costume in "fully glory" and, if you look closely towards the end of the trailer, you can see Moon Knight punching what seems to be a werewolf, a nice nod to his comic book origins.
As said above Moon Knight premieres on Wednesday, March 30th on Disney+.

What a terrible news, Gaspard Ulliel was young and so talented, I remember him in the biopic movie about great stilist Yves Saint-Laurent where he gave a great performance; this ski accident made me think about a similar one happened several years ago to 7-times F1 world champion Michael Schumacher, whose life is still in limbo after all these years...

I know the circumstances were different, but it'll be thirty years this July since Bill Mantlo was hit by a car while rollerblading and suffered brain injuries which have left him institutionalised ever since. Bad things all too often happen to good people.Barry_Allen wrote:What a terrible news, Gaspard Ulliel was young and so talented, I remember him in the biopic movie about great stilist Yves Saint-Laurent where he gave a great performance; this ski accident made me think about a similar one happened several years ago to 7-times F1 world champion Michael Schumacher, whose life is still in limbo after all these years...
