Back to the Eighties Books section on BD
I have seen that on the popular website Book Depository there is a fun section with popular books first published in the Eighties, of course there are some "seminal" works like Watchmen, V for Vendetta, Maus and other Graphic Novels but also novel books which very "Pop" at time in Europe and (I think) some of them also overseas, like:
The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho,
Ender's Game by Orson Scott Card (forgot the movie....) ,
The Remains of the Day by Kazuo Ishiguro,
The Name of the Rose by Umberto Eco,
the King's Pet Sematary and Misery (remember the movie...) ,
The Restaurant at the End of the Universe ,
Neuromancer , due to be reprinted here next week on Urania 70th Anniversary book series at newsstands,
Empire of the Sun by J. G. Ballard and many others.
On this list there is also If Not Now, When? by Primo Levi, one of the greates Italian writers of last century, witness to twentieth-century atrocity... himself a Auschwitz survivor
Have you read some/all of them during those years, but also later?
You can find all of their selection here!
