Bruce Forsyth has quit 'Strictly Come Dancing'
The moon'll be turning to blood and the stars'll be raining down from the sky next.

I would rather everyone else involved with the show quit. Brucie sitting alone in an empty studio reading the newspaper would be more entertaining than Strictly.

I was going to ask what "Strictly Come Dancing" is, but a search revealed that it's the show that spawned "Dancing With the Stars" here in the states. (We even got Bruno and Len as judges over here.)

I thought we might have to, like, apologise on behalf of the UK for inventing the format.

Trust me . . . there is much worse crap on TV, like Big Brother, Here Comes Honey Boo Boo, the various Real Housewives franchises, and oh, so much more.Lucy McGough wrote:I thought we might have to, like, apologise on behalf of the UK for inventing the format.

Then there's also Toddlers and Tiaras, the child beauty pageant reality show (which is where the world was first "charmed" by Honey Boo Boo).Lucy McGough wrote:Can't be as bad as the Honey Boo Boo monstrosity *shudders*

Advertisements and "news".Lucy McGough wrote:How do you know about all these programmes? *accusing stare*
I don't watch the bloody things, though . . . I barely watch TV as it is. (Only things I watch with any regularity tend to be news (but not the entertainment news programs) and the game show Jeopardy.)

Actually, I pick up on things sometimes and throw them in when it seems appropriate. I use to start getting an almost Southern tone to some of my speech when I would vacation in places like Georgia and Tennessee (probably from when I use to watch a lot of NASCAR racing and use to listen to a Southern comic).

I'm being influenced by your general... Americanness. It's not region-specific.

I wish. Then I'd watch. As it is I only saw a few minutes when visiting my brother in the hospital (he couldn't change the channel at the time, so I had to help) and it hurt my brain.
