Who is the British Stan Lee?
Dez Skinn says on his website that it's him, but I've got a feeling that Pat Mills might be a better fit. Or is Stan Lee the American Pat Mills?

Well, Dez has a fairly legitimate claim to that particular description, since Stan Lee basically hired him to be the British Stan Lee at Marvel UK. He even had his own version of the old Stan's Soapbox column ("Sez Dez"). And like Stan, Dez has that showman streak to his character which Pat has never really cultivated.Lucy McGough wrote:Dez Skinn says on his website that it's him, but I've got a feeling that Pat Mills might be a better fit. Even Stan can't last forever. We need to start cloning him now, before it's too late.MajorHoy wrote:Isn't one Stan Lee more than enough?!?

Some sort of Kickstarter appeal to facilitate this might be in order.

I have actually long had a suspicion that Stan has been in suspended animation, on the brink of death in some secret Marvel vault since the late 1990s, and that the Stan we see all the time is actually a sophisticated animatronic model programmed with a selection of his catchphrases.

I have never forgiven him for his abysmal reboot of Robo-Hunter. And if he does have talent, it's certainly no more than a speck.MajorHoy wrote:Doesn't he at least have a speck of talent?tony ingram wrote:We have Mark Millar.
