Worst 2000AD Strips of All Time
Just because I was asked, here's a thread to vote for the all-time worst 2000AD strips. The poll is somewhat limited, so feel free to name any I've missed!

What's wrong with Bradley?

I hated Bradley. Not as much as I hated The Clown, though.

What was it about Bradley that you disliked?

The entire point of the strip was that he was an uncontrollable child. Uncontrollable children are not my favourite subject. I did not find Bradley even remotely amusing. And I hated the art.

Yes... there's something off-putting about Simon Harrison's art, isn't there?
PJ was technically an uncontrollable child when he started out, but he had style.

I haven't seen Simon Harrison draw anything in years, and I can't say I miss him.

Yeah, he's not my cup of synthi-caff. He is now doing fine art which raises awareness of socio-economic and ecological issues an' ting.

I wonder if the "Kola Kommandos" were influenced by these guys:
(And somebody approved a feature called "Babe Race"?!?)

It was about six episodes.Lucy McGough wrote:What was it about?
And it was written by Mark Millar...
Oh, OK, you really want to know? I'll give you the text from the first panel.
"London to Sydney in twenty four hours, in a race where anything goes and good looks are essential. Some call it madness. Some call it suicide. Others call it Babe Race 2000".
The central image of the panel in question is a close-up view of the arse of a woman wearing a thong, thigh boots and a huge gun in a holster. Do you really need more than that?

Maybe I should put that excerpt on his page, or make a Babe Race 2000 page or something.

It almost sounds like somebody mixed Death Race 2000\"tony ingram' wrote: . . . I'll give you the text from the first panel.

That's basically what Millar did. The results were less than impressive.

Until I saw that list, I hadn't realised just how much of 1990s 2000AD Millar had had a hand in. No wonder a lot of it was so awful.

Re: Worst 2000AD Strips of All Time
The other thing about BR2000 is that the artwork almost causes me to have flashbacks to the work of Rob Liefeld. the man who does "artwork" while driving a car.

Re: Worst 2000AD Strips of All Time
I never heard of B.L.A.I.R. 1, but the idea of a bionic prime minister and Alan Grant writing a story with him doesn't sound like it would be a bad thing.

Even the best writer can have a bad day. In this case, Alan seems to have had several. It was truly awful.

Re: Worst 2000AD Strips of All Time
Every time you tell me about a bad 2000 AD strip, I want to read it. I guess it's the same impulse that makes people slow down to rubber-neck at car crashes.
Also, bad stuff is the most fun to review and to read reviews about.

B.L.A.I.R 1 was about the country's first bionic Prime Minister. He made the world safe for rich people, aided by his onboard computer, an AI called Doctor Spin.
