Hell Bent!!
Absolutely brilliant twist ending. And-they actually raised the "half human" thing and then didn't give an answer to it!

Re: Hell Bent!!
That's as it should be
I liked the Douglas Adams vibe of Clara's eventual fate, and the fact that Mr Moffat has finally learnt how to write female characters.

- Spoiler:
- In my opinion that was a DEFINITE retort to what Mr Davies did to Donna.

As much as I like the 1996 movie, I hope this never is confirmed. It gets boring that every alien has to be part human.

Re: Hell Bent!!
I somehow doubt it'll ever be conclusively answered. Moffat was pretty clearly just messing with the fans, here. He has a tendency to do that.

I like his writing, but I don't much like his public persona.
He wrote Girl in the Fireplace. I'll forgive a lot for that, flaws and all.

She was one of my favorite characters, but what happened made sense to me.

Moffat is not a natural at engaging with the public. He's said that it's the part of his job he likes the least.Mbast1 wrote:Lucy McGough wrote:He's like a cat toying with a mouse.

To be fair, a LOT of the public are awful. One of them even called him "Moffat" to his face!

Some people are quite incredible. I guess that's the price you pay for having a high profile...Lucy McGough wrote:To be fair, a LOT of the public are awful. One of them even called him "Moffat" to his face!

I get that, he IS a writer. Not exactly a job that requires people skills, mostly. But he just comes across badly in interviews and in how he presents certain things. In my opinion, of course.

He is not possessed of an abundance of charm.

I've never seen an interview with him. Any YouTube links?
