Titan Comics are Very Nice People

I've been buying the Doctor Who titles from Titan Comics for the last few years, but a few months ago I missed an issue, the Ninth Doctor Special. It was a key issue in the summer crossover event, and it quickly became apparent that pretty much no shop in the UK had received any copies. Irritated, I emailed Titan to complain.

The next day, I got a very friendly email from Titan's senior editor, Andrew James, apologising for the scarcity of the issue and asking for my address...so that he could send me a free copy he'd found in the office! What an incredibly nice man! He sent the issue out the same afternoon and it turned up today.

That is awesome! It's great to know that fans/customers really matter to some companies.

Actually, yes. But then, Titan do put out a lot of good material. I'd recommend their Doctor Who line to anyone, particularly their tenth and twelfth Doctor ongoing titles and their recently concluded ninth Doctor run. I've also been impressed with some of their other output, like Captain kronos, Vampire Hunter and Dan Dare.

Because Andrew James was nice to Tony, we now have to buy everything published by Titan Comics until we die or go bankrupt

I'll have to read this. Not a huge fan of the original tv show, but I haven't tried to watch it in over a decade, maybe I'll give it another try.
