London! Taking my trip
Hello all,
I'm finally going to do my London trip this year. I have a couple of MUST-DOs (Shakespeare at the Globe, British Museum) and one I really want to do (Sherlock Museum), but does anyone have anything you feel a first time visitor NEEDS to see? I don't have a ton of time, so I won't be able to see everything and my girlfriend will also have her list of things to see, but I just wonder if there's anything a tourist wouldn't know but needs to do.
Thanks!
Mike

Definitely a question more for Tony and the others from over across the pond.Mbast1 wrote:Hello all,

(I've never been there myself.)
But have fun and enjoy yourselves!

Back from my trip. Absolutely amazing. Such an incredible city. Saw Shakespeare's Globe, the Sherlock Museum, The British Library and so much more.
I also saw something Tony might like, The DC Thomson building. I'll try to upload the pic I took soon. Not a great pic, from a tour bus, but a fun surprise.

I haven't flown on an airplane since back in the last century, and only for travel within the U.S. (back in the days when you could easily book a round-trip ticket and only use it for a one-way flight because it was cheaper that way; even let a buddy of mine use the return trip ticket I wasn't using one time). I'm sure all the security changes since then would definitely be a major annoyance to me, and I'd have to get a passport (which I've never had before).

Thanks! I'm surprised I did, but I really did.

I hadn't either (1997, I think) and that was the thing I liked the least.

That didn't really bother me, but it did make things longer.
All-in-all, well worth it.
