Happy Cinco de Mayo!
Well, today is May 5th, which in Spanish is "cinco de Mayo".
It's the date in 1862 when the Mexican army defeated the French army at the Battle of Puebla during the Franco-Mexican War, and it is celebrated in Mexico and here in the U.S., though here in the U.S. it seems more of an excuse to drink Mexican beer or various alcoholic beverages that use tequila.

Did you go drink outside yesterday? Here in continental Europe 5th May is remembered since it is the day Napoleon died in 1821, there is also a popular related poem all students are "forced" to learn in schools since forever...

I haven't been much of a drinker for a while, nor much of a socializer.Barry_Allen wrote:Did you go drink outside yesterday?
Usually my alcoholic drinking these days has been having a decent beer with my dinner if/when I go out for dinner, which is very rarely.
