First appearance of his feature: More Fun Comics #52, cover-dated February 1940 (and according to the GCD, had an on-sale date of December 28th, 1939).

Spectre also a founding member of the Justice Society of America.

Happy 80th Anniversary (80th and ½?) to the Golden Age Spectre (Jim Corrigan)  All-st39

His last Golden Age appearance as a member of the JSA was in All-Star Comics #23 (cover-dated Winter 1944).
Happy 80th Anniversary (80th and ½?) to the Golden Age Spectre (Jim Corrigan)  All-st40
and his final appearance in the pages of More Fun Comics was in issue #101 of that title (cover-dated January-February 1945).

When he once again returned to a DC comic book, it would be in the pages of Showcase #60 (January-February 1966 issue).
