Golden Age The Woman in Red (Peggy Allen)
First appearance: Thrilling Comics #2 (March 1940), published by Better Publications, Inc. <Better / Standard / Nedor / Pines>:
It appears that The Woman in Red last wore her original outfit through Thrilling Comics #30 (October 1942):
Then, starting with a story in issue #34 (March 1943), she was now wearing a different outfit:
NOTE: It appears her feature was absent for issues #31, #32, and #33?
Her feature was last listed as appearing in Thrilling Comics #46 (February 1945):
But, as with fellow-Better/Standard/Nedor/Pines character Miss Masque (https://crikey.forumotion.com/t971-golden-age-miss-masque-diana-adams), the Woman in Red would return again in stories from other publishers starting in the 1990s.

Like Miss Masque, The Woman in Red was another of the many Golden Age comic book characters who were stored in suspended animation in the "Vault of Heroes" in AC Comic's FemForce.MajorHoy wrote: . . . The Woman in Red was also used in Alan Moore's America's Best Comics line, though she now had a power upgrade and yet another change in her costume.
And over at Dynamite Entertainment she was another Golden Age hero who had been trapped in "Pandora's Urn" as part of that company's Project Superpowers series.
