First appearance: Detective Comics #1 (March 1937)
Spy (Bart Regan) _001_c71
NOTE: The following was pieced together from different online resources.
It's difficult finding a good copy of this story online, even with the Millennium Edition reprint in 2000.

Note the title of the feature for its initial appearance:
Spy (Bart Regan) _001a128
Spy (Bart Regan) _001b111
Spy (Bart Regan) _001c_99
Spy (Bart Regan) _001d_86

Starting with Detective Comics #2, the name of the feature was reduced to just "Spy".
Spy (Bart Regan) _002a_44

And while the feature was written by Jerry (Jerome) Siegel and drawn by Joe Shuster in the beginning, eventually the artwork would be handled by other artists with Siegel still credited as writing the strip, though even that would change sometime in 1941. The last appearance of the feature looks like it was in Detective Comics #83 (cover-dated January 1944).
