Matthew Waterhouse accuses Tom Baker

Still touting his long awaited (well, it must have been awaited by somebody new autobiography, Matthew Waterhouse (AKA the ever unpopular Adric) has now been haing a pop at Tom Baker in the Mail today, 'revealing' that Tom was apparently a mean drunk on set. Does this have anything to do with the well reported fact that Tom's first words to the odious little...*ahem*, I mean to his fellow actor...were apparently 'piss off'?

Of course, it's not surprising that Waterhouse has written an autobiography, given that he had such a long and successful career after Doctor Who and is adored by millions of fans worldwide... um.... er.... nurse! It's time for my medication!

Apparently, he once had a one man show. In Chipping Norton.

I haven't actually, like, seen any episodes with Adric in, but everyone says he's pants and I just assume they're right.

Sometimes, received wisdom is good enough. Not often, but sometimes. In this case, it saves you time.

Just been reading Tom Baker's autobiography, and it sounds like he was quite hard to deal with back in the early eighties, by his own admission...

Funny how all the 'best' people don't fit into the 'norm'. I mean - look at Luce!! (Only kidding, Luce {that word again!})!!!

Tom Baker definitely doesn't, he's one of the last great English eccentrics. I was watching his guest presenter episode of Have I Got News For You last week, and couldn't stop laughing! The outtakes on one of the DVDs are even better:

Tom: 'So what's the solution?'

K9: 'Insufficient data, master'.

Tom: 'yeah, you never do know the fucking answer when it's important, do you?'

I'm not sure whether or not I fit in to the norm. Nobody's ever sent me a leaflet explaining what the norm is.

Tom Baker is fantastic and I'd love to meet him one day.

I used to know a bloke called Norm. He'd never met Tom baker though, as far as I know. Though he had met Bananarama.
