Red Dwarf X Empty Red Dwarf X

Did anyone else catch the long awaited return of the boys from the Dwarf last Thursday? Have to say, after almopst 25 years, Craig, Chris and Danny are all wearing pretty well (it's difficult to tell whether Robert Llewellyn is or not, under all that latex), and judging by the first one the scripts have lost none of their polish (I particularly liked the Moose gag). I do miss Holly, though.

I found it a bit predictable, but afterwards I couldn't stop thinking about it.

Is that a good thing, in this context?

Yes, because it means the characters got inside my head.

On the other hand, perhaps I just have a very incident-free life.

If I had Arnold Rimmer inside my head, I'd be performing DIY brain surgery on myself... Razz

Having seen episode two, this is really reminding me of the early episodes where the focus was all on the crew and their interactions with each other-and that's a good thing! Dave evidently have less money than the BBC to spend on this show, but the budget limitations seem to have really helped focus the writing. Lister sending messages to himself in his capacity as his own father was just brilliantly funny!

I enjoyed this week's episode more than I did last week's.
