Deadshot (Floyd Lawton)

Happy 70th Anniversary to Floyd.

First appearance: Batman #59 (cover-dated June–July 1950).

It was in Detective Comics #474 (December 1977) that Floyd would first wear his now more familiar costume:

NOTE: It wouldn't be until 1986's Legends series when Floyd hooked up with The Suicide Squad and gained major exposure.

It's rumoured that Deadshot is not long for this world in the current soon-to-be-cancelled Suicide Squad series...

Maybe because Will Smith won't be playing the character again in a new Suicide Squad movie?

I really don't think that's it. The comics don't seem to be that close to the movies anyway. I suspect they just want to shake things up by killing the Squad's longest serving character.
