Counting In Covers
Poat a cover from a different series to that in the latest post, and with issue number one higher.
I'll start things off with Daredevil #-1

We need #0 and #1 before we get to #2.

Well, since you started with issue #1,Philip K Ditko wrote:We need #0 and #1 before we get to #2.
I then went with a #2.Philip K Ditko wrote:Poat a cover from a different series to that in the latest post, and with issue number one higher.

Besides, there have many times when comic book series start with #1 and either don't ever have an issue #0 or the issue #0 may come later in the run.

But I started with Daredevil #Minus 1, not Daredevil #1, so #0 comes next.MajorHoy wrote:Well, since you started with issue #1,I then went with a #2.Philip K Ditko wrote:Poat a cover from a different series to that in the latest post, and with issue number one higher.

The agent in this cover seems inspired by the likeliness with French actor Alain Delon!
This comic book was published by Lodestone Publishing; it seemed always incredible to me that Dave Cockrum left Marvel that year to publish the then short lived series Futurians at Lodestone,
after Marvel had published a Graphic Novel of those characters, always by great Dave!

Re: Counting In Covers
I never realised that was Delon. Gulacy is well known for liking to cast stars as characters in his comics, so I'm sure you're correct. I remember being disappointed with the cheap paper used for the interior pages, and with Will Simpson's heavy handed inking of Garry Leach's portion of the story.Barry_Allen wrote:The agent in this cover seems inspired by the likeliness with French actor Alain Delon!
David Singer must have offered some great terms to Cockrum and others to lure them to work for Deluxe and Lodestone. It might have paid off if Singer hadn't run into financial difficulties over his unlicensed use of the T.H.U.N.D.E.R. Agents.Barry_Allen wrote:This comic book was published by Lodestone Publishing; it seemed always incredible to me that Dave Cockrum left Marvel that year to publish the then short lived series Futurians at Lodestone,

Re: Counting In Covers
Okay, just this once, seeing as it's you. I'll probably post a #8 tomorrow unless someone beats me to it. I hate it whenever a limited series is cancelled prematurely. How much money would it have cost them to keep publishing it until the end? Mike Baron said he was making things up as he went along, and didn't know where it was going, apart from ending it with revolution in the streets. He said he'd created another series, called Ethel, which would have concluded Sonic Disruptors, but it was never published.Barry_Allen wrote:Can I double the # 7 with Sonic Disruptors # 7 (last issue, although it was announced as a 12 issue maxi-series)?

Re: Counting In Covers
Fantastic art by Mac Raboy (from July 1943), one of the greatest cover artists of all time! Do you have his biography published by Twomorrows some years ago?
Re: Counting In Covers
I didn't know about the Raboy biography. I must look out for a copy. All I know of him is the excellence of his work.

Yes, you're right, not only the covers, but all his work is great!
About the Mac Raboy book I think now you can find it in the marketplace for half price or so...
And now, awaiting for a cover of an issue # 10...

You're more than welcome to post more covers yourself if you find them before I do.

It was in that Teen Titans series that introduced Risk, Argent, Joto and Prysm and was led by a de-aged Atom. He was working for Mr. Jupiter.Philip K Ditko wrote:Where did he return, and was it any good?tony ingram wrote:The Mod returned decades later...
