Doomlord article in the new SFX
As the thread title says.
An article on Doomlord appears in SFX # 200 out today.
Looks good, with cover scans from various eras of 80s Eagle (original, & Tiger, & Battle etc.)
I look forward to reading it.

I'm getting that! It's been far too long since the Servant of Nox reared his ugly head anywhere...

Enjoyed the article. An all too brief trot through the various plot lines.
Like the author, it's the original photo story version which left most of an impression on me.
The article says that Doomlord ended abruptly in 1989 but doesn't explain why. Was this because of the cancellation of Eagle or was there another reason ?

Eagle lasted until 1994, but I could have sworn Doomlord was still going well into the nineties...

I'm a Doomlord and 'new' Eagle fan, but unless it's changed drastically in the past year or two I won't buy SFX.

I stopped buying SFX a long time ago but I picked up the current issue on a whim. It's the 200th issue and is a pretty decent read.

As an anniversary issue might give it a punt. It went off the boil before it reached issue 50.
