I'm sure British cars explode for no reason too.

Did Britain also manufacture Ford Pintos?Lucy McGough wrote:I'm sure British cars explode for no reason too.
And what do oil tankers have to do with exploding cars? It's even more removed than blaming a guy who pours milk on his cereal for build ups of methane gas.

Having checked the issue in question, it turns out it was actually a truck. Sorry (it was a few years ago)...

According to Wikipedia, Gamecock is also dead, having been offed in Wolverine #167, so they could meet in the afterlife. Apparently he was killed and eaten by Puma in the first round of Madripoor's Bloodsport competition after the writer, Frank Tieri, had canvassed fandom for characters to kill.tony ingram wrote:Nope, and since Bantam is now dead, it's likely that was a missed opportunity...

They killed Gamecock? Damn! I missed that, since I wasn't a regular reader of Wolverine at that time. I rather liked Gamecock...

I take it you weren't one of the ones who phoned in to murder Jason Todd, then?Mbast1 wrote:Philip K Ditko wrote:Apparently he was killed and eaten by Puma in the first round of Madripoor's Bloodsport competition after the writer, Frank Tieri, had canvassed fandom for characters to kill.

He was destined for the chop anyway. The clue is in the name.

That would be a no. Not only no interest (IIRC, it cost money) but it was just a goofy stunt. Worse than having fans vote on the DC vs. Marvel stuff. (I mean, come on, Wolverine beat Lobo?)

Now there's a fan-fic just waiting to be written. Jason Todd, grandson of the Demon Barber... Maybe that's why his family (original version) were circus people, to escape the past. And he reclaimed the name.
Or something. Ignore me.

People keep talking about the "decline" of civilization. As if it were ever more than just a few people anyway.

Why wouldn't Wolverine beat Lobo? He's the best there is at what he does!

I guess they have to now introduce Gamecock's kid brother, who will be seeking revenge.tony ingram wrote:They killed Gamecock? Damn! I missed that, since I wasn't a regular reader of Wolverine at that time. I rather liked Gamecock...
Maybe they'll call him . . . Shuttlecock!
