I've just read on Doctor Who News that Peter Capaldi has won the first ever RTS Scotland Award.

Congratulations.

I do have a question. The article states "With 2014 being such a culturally significant year for Scotland..."

Why is 2014 significant?

Probably because they're going to vote on whether or not to become independent from the rest of the UK.
