Adam West RIP

The definitive screen Batman died aged 88 on June 9th, after battling Leukemia.

Rest in peace, Adam West. He has donned his bat-halo and bat-wings, picked up his bat-harp and gone to join the choir invisible.

I saw that. I loved that Batman when I was a kid, hated it for years as an adult (it was how anyone who didn't read superhero comics saw them when I wanted to see them differently) and have again loved it for years. And I think Mr. West was really a fun actor overall. Had no problem playing a version of himself who was pretty goofy.

I loved his ability to mock himself. Just saw him the other day on The Big Bang Theory, and he was wonderful.

That was one of the shows I was thinking of. He was great!

People who can send themselves up are the best people. And Mr West was the best thing about Family Guy.
