Paul Cornell takes on DC's big guns
Screenwriter and novelist Paul Cornell, probably best known to most of us for his Doctor Who stories (in comics, books and on TV!) and fresh from a critically acclaimed Captain Britain series for Marvel, is taking over the writing chores on DC's flagship title Action Comics, home of superman, from issue #890, surely a major coup for a British writer. Though if Paul's own past statements are to be believed (I spoke to him a couple of years ago for Broken Frontier.com) he'd probably still rather be writing 'The Defenders'; Paul is an unashamed fan of the 'B' list characters, so we can probably expect a few long unseen faces to be resurfacing on the streets of Metropolis...

I enjoyed his Knight and Squire series for DC, and what I read of Demon Knights in the New 52 was interesting. (Bought the first tpb; still have to get around to buying the second one.)

He's back at Marvel, now-just finishing up a run on Wolverine.

Well, Wolverine's a big guy. I wouldn't want to tackle him without a run-up either.

Actually, Wolverine's very short, he's just powerfully built.

That's what I meant. Big guy. Lots of muscles.

Actually, no. My exposure to the team was rather limited to the first few issues back in its earliest days with Image.Lucy McGough wrote:Did you read his New 52 Stormwatch?
