I think that's kind of fun.

Oh, that's great! Nice to see The Eagle getting some recognition. It's success is all the more remarkable given that because of the high production costs, it cost about twice what any other comic cost at the time. It seems kids were willing to pay for quality.

I take it this is why Judge Dredd and other 2000 AD characters were reprinted in the U.S. under Eagle Comics in the early 1980s?

Eagle Comics used the Eagle name for brand recognition, yes, but they had no actual link to the original Eagle.
