Jack Kirby's 100th
Yes, I know I missed it by a couple of days, but this is the 100th birthday year for Jack Kirby. I bought a copy of a book of essays on his work at Marvel. Looking forward to it, and hoping to find some good examples of his work. Harder to come by than I'd have thought given his importance, but I'm looking.

Sorry it's taken so long to reply to this; Lucy and I have been mosty offline for the last week or so as an unfortunate side effect of moving house. I was intrigued by DC's line of Kirby tribute one-shots this month, though I haven't had the chance to buy any of them. Have you by any chance read the Kirby biography Tales to Astonish, Mike? It's worth a look.

I've had that happen. Ugh. Good luck with all of that.

I saw them, but I didn't pick any up. I have picked up some of his work in trades (New Gods in particular) though. Let us know if they're any good.

Nope, but it's going on my list now! Thanks.

If I actually get the chance to read any of them myself, I'll report back...
