I have ordered some of these ones visible in your link to be sure to get the most interesting of them; glad to see the sampler from the upcoming Jack Kirby biography from Ten Speed Press among the Gold comics; among the Silver comics Asterix, Best of 2000AD, Blade Runner 2020, Donald Duck, Vault Comics' Dark One, also no copies will be available in the Uk of the Weirn Books one and so from my supplier.

I wonder if the coronavirus may wind up causing a delay/postponement of FCBD this year?

They've already announced that the Kentucky Derby horse race (which also would have been held on May 2nd) is now postponed until September 5th.

Or maybe they'll leave it up to individual stores what to do.

As the impact and spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) continues to evolve, Diamond Comic Distributors is aware that Free Comic Book Day (FCBD) will be impacted to varying degrees throughout the world. With that in mind, Diamond Comic Distributors has made the difficult decision to postpone the event to a date later in the Summer.

Still no word I'm aware of as to when FCBD is being rescheduled, but I wonder what will happen with what DC was suppose to be offering for that this year now that DC is no longer going to be using Diamond.

Well, FCBD is now being relabeled "Free Comic Book Summer".

* FCBD 2020 ASTERIX FCBD SPECIAL
* FCBD 2020 WEIRN BOOKS (which was then made not available to the Uk and hence in Europe).

I don't know if they make any mention of this on the US site.

I'm assuming FCBD Captain Canuck & Captain Battle # 1

is connected (somehow) to the Golden Age comic book character originally published by Lev Gleason nearly 80 years ago?

. Chapterhouse Publishing has well revived Captain Canuck some years ago, although many (mini) series weren't published or have been interrupted, due to low sales, I imagine, but their stories published were really nice. I guess Captain Battle could be in public domain now, also Wink

I think I picked up issue #2 (or was it #3?) of the Comely Comix run of Captain Canuck back in the +/-mid-1970s; would have bought it off a spinner rack at the local stationary store that sold newspapers, magazines, and comic books. (Didn't have all that many dedicated comic book stores around back then. I also didn't have a driver's license yet either.)
