Black Beetle (Dark Horse Comics)
The character first appeared as a drawing by Francesco Francavilla on a website (drawingboard.org) back in 2006:
A few years later, Francavilla created a Black Beetle webcomic, and in 2012 the character began appearing in three issues of Dark Horse Presents (issues #11-13 of Volume Two).
The Black Beetle didn't actually appear until towards the end of that issue's episode:
And there was a variant cover for that issue which featured the Black Beetle:

Re: Black Beetle (Dark Horse Comics)
I really like the Blue Beetle character and also John Arcudi's The Creep which is spotlighted in the normal cover of DHP # 11; this incarnation of Dark Horse Presents even had an Italian edition which, sadly, didn't last until issue # 11.
Some monhts ago I bought "The Black Beetle: Kara Bocek" Hc, always from Dark Horse, which collects stories always from DHP # 28/32 Great fun reading these adventures!

Actually, DC has the Blue Beetle, and has also introduced a few other colored Beetles including a Black Beetle.Barry_Allen wrote:I really like the Blue Beetle character and also John Arcudi's The Creep which is spotlighted in the normal cover of DHP # 11; this incarnation of Dark Horse Presents even had an Italian edition which, sadly, didn't last until issue # 11.

(I think Francavilla came up with the drawing of his Black Beetle prior to DC having a Black Beetle, though I'm not 100% certain on that.)

Re: Black Beetle (Dark Horse Comics)
Of course I wanted to say the Black Beetle also in the first phrase, I don't know why I wrote the Blue Beetle instead, maybe I was thinking about big old Dc Comics too....!
