Birds of Prey: Huntress tpb
Got delivery this afternoon of
I'm not totally thrilled with the movie-tie-in cover, but easily finding the original version (first released in 2002)
new and at cover price isn't very likely these days.
(And the six-issue comic book series was originally released back in 2000 when I wasn't regularly reading / buying comic books.)

I remember the original book. Seems a weird choice for a rerelease.

But then again, what Helena Bertinelli run might be more appropriate in conjunction with the Birds of Prey movie?tony ingram wrote:I remember the original book. Seems a weird choice for a rerelease.
By the way, I don't plan to buy the Black Canary tie-in edition
since that collects the 12-issue run of Black Canary that came out just before Rebirth.
(It was a very different but interesting version of Black Canary which I already had bought in single issues when it originally came out).
Also skipping the Harley Quinn one:

I might buy the Harley Quinn one. I usually like Amanda Conner's stuff.

Oh, I definitely enjoy Amanda's work.tony ingram wrote:I might buy the Harley Quinn one. I usually like Amanda Conner's stuff.
But I really have no interest in Harley Quinn, especially when it's from the New 52 period. It looks like this tpb collects the first seven issues of her 2014 series and a couple of other things.

I agree with you, maybe Dc Comics counted on Greg Rucka name (and writing abilities, loved his run on Detective Comics with artists I like a lot, like Phil Hester and Shawn Martinbrough, also great Dave Johnson covers) as a "power" seller...
Re: Birds of Prey: Huntress tpb
But I don't know if "Greg Rucka" would be enough of name when the cover of the book is aiming for the Birds of Prey: And the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn crowd.Barry_Allen wrote:I agree with you, maybe Dc Comics counted on Greg Rucka name (and writing abilities, loved his run on Detective Comics with artists I like a lot, like Phil Hester and Shawn Martinbrough, also great Dave Johnson covers) as a "power" seller...tony ingram wrote:I remember the original book. OMG! What is this one, like a Spin-off of that Suicide Squad movie sequel which should open in our theaters soon, also starring Sylvester Stallone and....Peter Capaldi?!? Doh!
