Carmine Infantino 1925-2013 R.I.P
Another of comics' greatest talents, the legendary Carmine Infantino, has passed away aged 87. Probably best known for being in many people's eyes the definitive Silver Age Flash artist, though personally I will always remember him best for his work on Star Wars and Nova at Marvel in the 1970s.

I liked his "New Look" Batman stuff, too. Great artist. What a shame.

For the longest time I didn't like this work. I don't know, I just liked people who had more "realistic" looks, and his was so stylized. But, I think that's why I eventually liked it. It was distinctive.
And yesterday, Roger Ebert. Rough couple of days.
