Christmas Charity?
I talked about this before, and then entirely forgot. Sorry.
We we discussing giving to a charity, as a board, but I think it might be too late to do that easily. So, I'll link to two charities I think would be appropriate for comic fans, and we can give individually, as anyone wishes to give.
Tony, if it's possible, would it be ok to use the board as an organization from which each of us give? That is, we each give, and then say "it's from this board"? Is that a problem?
Thanks,
Mike Bast

Re: Christmas Charity?
That would be fine by me, Mike. Heroinitiative is an organization I've supported before, they do good work. All in favour of this.

I made a small (been a bad year) donation, and I'm glad it was brought up. I like the idea of the Heroinitiative, so I'm glad to be doing something.

Sorry to hear that. I hope everything works out. For me it's just been a bad year for expenses, I still have my job. Worst thing is that I have to work a 2nd job in the first 6 months of next year, something I'd hoped to avoid because of the time drain. With my Dad being sick I was hoping to have the time free for him, but I need the money.
That said, I really do hope it works out for you!

I don't think I know anyone who's actually had a good year. I'll be glad to see the back of it, to be honest. Though the prospect of beginning 2015 with a roughly 30% loss of income isn't a welcome one, either.Mbast1 wrote:tony ingram wrote:I will be donating on payday. I agree. All around crap news here, and I only hope 2015 is somewhat better. I doubt, but am hopeful.

No, I can imagine. Good luck with everything, I hope something else comes along.

God, this has turned into a depressing conversation.

Sorry, been that kind of year. And the news isn't any better today.
So, let's both just be happy we're in a position that we can help anyone, even a little, and move on!
