53 Years of Doctor Who

Today marks the 53rd anniversary of the Doctor's first appearance. To celebrate, here's apictures of Martin Clunes looking like a complete tw*t in the Peter Davison story Snakedance.

It is indeed. The part of Lon in Snakedance in 1983 was actually his first ever TV work.

He doesn't look nearly as much of a tit as whoever was wearing the Myrka costume.

The two 'actors' in the Myrka costume actually spent most of their time inside Dobbin the haunted pantomime horse in the then popular childrens show Rentaghost.

I'm afraid so.
Rentaghost was a long running kids' show about a group of ghosts running an agency that did odd jobs for people. It was not an example of British TV at its finest.
