First appearance: Batman #133 (cover-dated August 1960,
with an on-sale date of June 2, 1960 according to the GCD):

NOTE: Kite-Man didn't even rate the cover of that issue,
but Ace the Bat-Hound and Bat-Mite did!





Fifteen years later, that one Kite-Man story was reprinted in Batman Family #3 (cover-dated January-February 1976):



But he would finally rate a new story (with a cover appearance, too!) in 1979.

Sure they deserved the cover, I love the Bat and Super Pets, especially Krypto of course! do you know if there's a database (sort of) of all their appereances in comics and other media?

I don't think there's anything official, but I'm assuming among the various wiki-type databases there might be information available.

Kite Man has been pretty successfully revived in recent years. Just goes to show, any character canbe made interesting if the writer cares enough.
