Happy 80th Anniversary to the Golden Age Atom (Al Pratt)
First appearance of his feature: All-America Comics #19, cover-dated October 1940 (and according to the GCD, on-sale date of August 21st, 1940).
However, since that title also featured the Golden Age Green Lantern, The Atom didn't get any opportunities to be the main cover feature during his run in that title.
The Atom was another of the founding members of the Justice Society of America.
But unlike many other members, The Atom remained a member for the entire original run of the JSA in All-Star Comics, even if he was occasionally absent for an adventure, such as in All-Star Comics #36, cover-dated August-September 1947.
The Atom's feature last appeared in issue #72 of All-America Comics, cover-dated April 1946. It then moved over to Flash Comics #80 (cover-dated February 1947) until the final issue of that book with issue #104 (February 1949 issue). But in Flash Comics #98 (cover-dated August 1948), The Atom did get a new costume.
The Atom's last Golden Age appearance was as a member of the JSA in All-Star Comics #57 (cover-dated February-March 1951).

Thank you, to both you and Tony (I hope I didn't miss anyone) for doing these. They're great.

Re: Happy 80th Anniversary to the Golden Age Atom (Al Pratt)
The Atom was one of the JSA members who first started appearing when Silver Age Flash (Barry) and Golden Age Flash (Jay) began their team-up adventures.
First, in a flashback when Jay was recalling the JSA's last case together:
from The Flash #129 (June 1962)
And in person the following year when Vandal Savage returned and attempted to capture all the former JSA (including Jay) who had been responsible for the defeat of the original Injustice Society of the World (a story originally told in All-Star Comics #37)
from The Flash #137 (June 1963)
