Two-Face (Harvey Dent)
First appearance: Detective Comics #66 (August 1942)
NOTE: In his early appearances, Two-Face was Harvey Kent, not "Dent".
As mentioned in a different thread,
From Detective Comics #66,
And from his single Who's Who entry in Who's Who: The Definitive Directory of the DC Universe Vol. XXIV (February 1987),

I have since also looked in The Encyclopedia of Comic Book Heroes Volume 1: Batman by Michael L. Fleisher (:copyright: 1976) where it saysMajorHoy wrote:I believe that was the initial name used, but it was soon after altered to Dent.tony ingram wrote: . . . Did Two-Face get two entries? As I recall, Earth Two Two-Face was called Harvey Kent, wasn't he?
(A Wikipedia article says the name change was to avoid confusion with Clark Kent, but I also thought I remember hearing years ago there was something involving the Batman newspaper comic strip involved with the differences in name?)
From December 1948 - January 1949 onward, due to what can only be regarded as a chronicler's error, the texts refer to Harvey Kent as Harvey Dent (BM No. 50/2: "The Return of Two-Face!"; and others).

The DC Database Wiki has a separate entry for Harvey Kent, who it describes as the Two-Face of Earth Two...

But isn't that fan-generated, not official DC Comics?tony ingram wrote:The DC Database Wiki has a separate entry for Harvey Kent, who it describes as the Two-Face of Earth Two...

(And if the comic books switched from "Kent" to "Dent" in late 1948, that would mean it was still during the "Golden Age" and would technically still have applied to an Earth-2 version.)

Re: Two-Face (Harvey Dent)
Well, not necessarily. The Daily Planet actually first appeared in the Golden Age, but we were later told it was always the Daily star on Earth Two.MajorHoy wrote:But isn't that fan-generated, not official DC Comics?tony ingram wrote:The DC Database Wiki has a separate entry for Harvey Kent, who it describes as the Two-Face of Earth Two...
